In my university days, I started something I tagged ‘information 101’ due to my zeal to know more. As a result of this, I sought for information everywhere I could and would paste them on the notice board for people to read. Now I am doing the same thing, but this time I am pasting it on the world wide web in TheInspiredDream.com.ng. Today, we’ll focus us ‘tech’ ‘did-you-knows’.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989.
The first website went online in 1991
We currently have over 1.2 billion websites in the world, but 75% of them are inactive (parked domains)
Approximately 2,596,134 e-mails are sent every second around the world.
Google now processes over 40,000 search queries every second on average which translates to over 3.5 billion searches per day and 1.2 trillion searches per year worldwide.
A single Google query uses 1,000 computers in 0.2 seconds to retrieve an answer. Every query has to travel on average 1,500 miles to a data center and back to return the answer to the user.
We have about 3.6 billion internet users all over the world and nearly a quarter of them live in China.
69,551 YouTube videos are viewed every second
Nigeria is the 7th Largest user of the internet with 86,219,965 Nigerians using the internet, representing 46.1% of Nigerias total population.
7,642 tweets are sent every second as against 785 Instagram photos that are being uploaded per second.
