Hello great people, it’s a pleasure to come to you again with Inspirational materials on your phones, tablets and laptops with #MondayMotivation
I’m so grateful and elated that you subscribe to this digital magazine. From now on, every Monday morning would be for sharing inspiration with you from all of us at #TheInspiredDream.
There’s this story I read of two brothers who both had adjoining farms and shared farm implements up until they ‘broke-up’ after a fight one day.
A certain day came after their fight had become intense, the elder brother woke up to a bang on his door, so intense that he thought it was his younger brother. He picked up his clothes angrily and dashed to the door only to see an artisan with a tool box of saw, hammer, measuring reed and nails.
“You must be a carpenter?” The elder brother asked. “What are you doing here disturbing my sleep this morning?” He enthused.
“I’m so sorry to bother you, I came to see if I could get a few days job with you” The carpenter answered.
The elder brother initially sent him away since he had disturbed his sleep, but on a second thought he called him back and said: “wait, look across the creek at that farm. That’s my neighbor, as a matter of fact, he’s my younger brother.
Last week we had a serious quarrel and I don’t want to see his face again. He got a machine and made a hollow between our farms. Instead of being angry everytime I see it, I want to make a fence. See that pile of lumber curing by the barn, I want you to use it to build me an 8th-feet fence so that I won’t see his face again.” The elder brother said angrily.
The Carpenter nodded in the affirmative. The elder brother then went out, while the carpenter worked all day, measuring, sawing and nailing.
When the Farmer came back from his outing, he approached his farm and opened his mouth wide in shock.
There was no fence at all, it was a bridge that stretched from his younger brother’s farm to his. Looking up, he saw his younger brother coming close to him with his hand outstretched saying: ” you are quite a fellow to build this bridge after all I’ve said and done.”
The two brothers stood at each end of the bridge and met at the middle taking each other’s hand and embraced.
Turning back, they saw the carpenter going with his tool box on his shoulder. The elder brother then said: “wait! Stay a few days, I have a few more jobs for you.”
“I’d love to stay, but I have more bridges to build.” The carpenter said.
In life there are many reasons why we don’t want to relate with others, but I’ve learnt that collaboration helps. Help someone achieve his dream today and see others also come to your aid.
Hope this inspires you to appreciate every relationship this week.
Inspired? Kindly share.
Yours truly,
Leke Ademo
